Oregon Woman Shot in the Head After Heated Argument Over Laundry

Authorities identified the victim as Alexandra Arb-Bloodgood, 29. Newsweek reported that Arb-Bloodgood was shot in the head by her brother-in-law on Sunday. The incident happened at a home in 8000 block of North Newman Avenue in North Portland, Oregon. Officers responded at the scene at around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday after a report from a neighbor.  READ NEXT:  How Did the Oregon Woman Get Shot? The Portland Police Bureau said the shooting incident resulted from an argument over laundry between the suspect Shane Finnell, 25, and his brother Jordan Arb, the victim s husband. Arb reported that Finnel threw a potted plant when they were arguing. On the other hand, Arb-Bloodgood was sitting on a chair on the patio facing away from the house.

Woman shot in Southeast Portland early Saturday The shooting follows a warning from elected and law enforcment officials about imminent gun violence. Despite a stepped-up effort by law enforcement agencies to prevent gun violence, a woman was shot in Southeast Portland early Saturday, May 25. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately released. No suspect information was available, either. According to police, at 7:42 a.m. on May 15, East Precinct officers responded to a report of someone shot near Southeast Stark Street and Southeast 119th Avenue. Officers arrived and found an adult female injured. She was transported to a hospital by ambulance. Police said her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
