1 missing amid landslides, flash flooding in Columbia River Gorge as rains drench Oregon

One person is believed to be missing as authorities urged Dodson residents to evacuate amid flash flooding and landslides Wednesday morning in the Columbia River Gorge.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said authorities believe the missing person was driving a car that was swept away by a debris flow in the Dodson area, which is east of Multnomah Falls along Interstate 84.
Separately, a traffic flagger was killed near Sandy after being struck by a vehicle owned by Portland General Electric as utility crews worked to repair storm damage.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office has confirmed a vehicle was swept away by a powerful landslide in the Columbia River Gorge Tuesday morning. Various roads were closed due to mudslides.
