Guernsey and Noble county residents continue to receive COVID-19 vaccines The Daily Jeffersonian More than one-quarter of Guernsey County residents have completed the COVID-19 vaccination process, according to statistics released by the Ohio Department of Health on Thursday. The ODH reported 11,816 Guernsey County residents (30.39%) have started receiving vaccines while 9,865 (25.38%) have completed the process to be vaccinated against coronavirus. Statistics are similar in Belmont and Noble counties where 20,504 (30.60%) and 4,302 (29.83) residents, respectively, have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The number of residents finished receiving vaccines stands at 15,705 (23.44%) in Belmont County and 3,533 (24.49%) in Noble County. The age range with the most vaccinated residents is 50 to 59 in Guernsey and Noble counties while Belmont County residents age 65 to 69 lead the way.

Limited impact from Johnson & Johnson vaccine pause in Guernsey, Noble counties

The Daily Jeffersonian Suspension of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is expected to have minimal impact in Guernsey and Noble counties according to local health officials. Neither health department has received the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine since initial shipments of 300 and 200 doses, respectively, several weeks ago. While we received 300 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine during the early release, we don t expect to receive any more doses at this time, said Rose Ball, administrator at the Cambridge-Guernsey County Health Department. I don t believe there will be any impact in Noble County, added Noble County Health Commissioner Shawn Ray. The initial shipment of 200 doses is all the state has given us.
