PHILADELPHIA Sean Parnell, a decorated combat veteran and favorite of former President Donald Trump, is all but certain to run for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, according to a Republican official who spoke with Parnell this week.
“He said he was 99% sure this is what he was going to do,” said Sam DeMarco, the Republican chairman in Allegheny County, where Parnell came up just short in a high-profile bid for Congress last year. “If he does make that decision, he’s going to be a formidable candidate.”

County to Host Conversation on Suicide Prevention and Mental Health
The County will be hosting an online conversation open to all residents focused on suicide prevention and mental health on Wednesday, March 10 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
This session is a part of Wellness Community Events: Healing and Holding On One Conversation at a Time for the Community, a series of discussions created by the County as an initiative to address mental health and wellness issues affecting the community amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Wednesday’s conversation will be presented by Tammi Ginsberg and David O’Leary from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

MARYLAND Just a few days short of the one-year mark since the first cases of coronavirus were detected in Maryland, Gov. Larry Hogan addressed the state of the virus at a Tuesday news conference.
A new mass vaccination site is opening Thursday in southern Maryland, he said, with two others launching this month, bringing the total to five statewide.

A fourth is opening Thursday in Waldorf, according to the governor. One mass vaccination site in Salisbury is opening mid-March, while a Hagerstown site will be operational by the end of this month.
