Former Willis ISD employee among 3 indicted for stealing from district s Parent Support Center KTRK Replay Video UP NEXT A former Willis ISD employee is among the three people who have been indicted after authorities said they stole from Willis ISD s Parent Support Center - a center that helps struggling families with food, clothes and other necessities. The Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable s office said it started looking into a tip from the Montgomery County Crime Stoppers about a series of thefts at the district s Parent Support Center (PSC), which is located at 606 North Campbell Street. The parent center, which had been in operation for 17 years, was closed in September 2020 due to concerns within the district.

Entergy-Texas Contributes $650,000 To Nonprofits Following Storm

By Harold Mann Mar 2, 2021 THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Entergy Texas, Inc. is committing $650,000 to help community nonprofits and qualifying customers who are struggling with the financial impact of the recent severe winter storm. These grants will go directly to local nonprofits assisting low-income customers with emergency needs following the winter storm, including the Montgomery County Food Bank, Brazos Valley Food Bank, Southeast Texas Food Bank, and SBP USA, an organization focused on helping communities rebuild after weather events. Additional funding also will be provided to The Power to Care, which provides payment assistance to Entergy Texas customers who are low-income seniors and people with disabilities. The Power to Care works through agencies like the Community Assistance Center, Center for Christian Services and the Greater East Texas Community Action Program, among many others.

INX International partners with CannedWater4Kids

INX International Ink and CannedWater4Kids (CW4K) have joined forces to send a rush delivery of CW4K premium drinking water packed in 16-ounce aluminum bottles to Texas; the truckload of 33,600 units will arrive this week at the Montgomery County Food Bank near Houston. Texas, USA has had a devasting week of freezing temperatures, compounded by more than 10 inches of snow and ice, rolling blackouts in Houston and surrounding areas, and millions of people without power or electricity. The unexpected freeze has caused cracked or burst pipes, leaving nearly half the state’s population facing boil-water advisories and safe drinking water a scarcity.
