By DAN MORSE | The Washington Post | Published: April 8, 2021 Takoma Park, Md., police on Thursday identified the two people fatally shot by an off-duty Pentagon Force Protection Agency police officer as Dominique Williams, 32, of Hyattsville, and James Lionel Johnson, 38, of District Heights. They died in an encounter with the officer in a parking lot outside a Takoma Park condominium building at about 5 a.m. Wednesday, police said. Takoma Park police said the officer fired his gun after seeing an attempted car break-in. He engaged the suspects who failed to follow his direction, Takoma Park police said Wednesday. The suspects attempted to flee in a vehicle at which time the officer discharged his service weapon.
