The county’s cumulative case count is 67,505. Montgomery County recorded no new coronavirus-related fatalities Wednesday, so the death toll remains at 1,438, the highest in the state. As of April 6, there are 112 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Montgomery County. Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring reports two cases. Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney reports three cases. Our Lady of Lourdes School (4th grade) in Bethesda reports three cases. Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring reports two cases.

Hillsboro Woman Killed In Suspected DUI Crash

By WMAY Newsroom (Adobe Stock) A Hillsboro woman is dead after being struck by a car, and the driver of the vehicle is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. State police say 24-year-old Bethany Dixon was walking along Illinois Route 16 in Montgomery County Wednesday night when she was struck. According to police, the driver of the car left the scene but then later returned to report the crash. Dixon was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the car, 28-year-old Miranda Davidson of Irving in Montgomery County is charged with aggravated DUI resulting in death, a Class 2 felony.
