State Rep. Dan Huberty, R-Houston, was arrested in Montgomery County after crashing his Corvette into a minivan and failing a sobriety test Friday night, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, which posted a video of the arrest to YouTube. The video shows police detaining Huberty and towing the Corvette away.
That local news outlet reported that Montgomery County Precinct 4 constables responded to an accident in Porter and arrived to find a Corvette “parked under a minivan.” The three people in the minivan suffered minor injuries, according to the report, and the driver of the Corvette, identified as Huberty, was unharmed. The Corvette was impounded and Huberty was arrested for DWI, according to the report.

A former Willis ISD employee is among the three people who have been indicted after authorities said they stole from Willis ISD s Parent Support Center - a center that helps struggling families with food, clothes and other necessities.
The Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable s office said it started looking into a tip from the Montgomery County Crime Stoppers about a series of thefts at the district s Parent Support Center (PSC), which is located at 606 North Campbell Street.
The parent center, which had been in operation for 17 years, was closed in September 2020 due to concerns within the district.

The county allocated $50 million of CARES funds to reimburse county public safety expenses, Sharp said. Directors questioned whether that reimbursement was for public safety expenses already funded by the township. The Woodlands Township contracts with Montgomery and Harris counties for law enforcement contracts. If they got reimbursed for the same expense, that’s double indemnification; that’s not right,” board of directors Chair Gordy Bunch said.
Bunch said the township was working with local legislators to ensure that there is language in future aid packages that will “bypass an arbitrary redistributor,” stating that federal funds intended for cities and entities like the township had not been allocated as intended.

MONTGOMERY, TX â As 25 News previously reported, Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough turned himself into the county jail for DWI charges on Dec 9. Today, Judge Keough has accepted a plea deal and will have his license suspended for 90 days, and be required to pay $2,000 in fines.
Citing sleep-aids, the 67-year-old judge s arrest warrant was issued for DWI charges back in Sept for a Class B Misdemeanor on first offense, involving both a deputy constable and another vehicle.
