Snow is expected to fall across Massachusetts Sunday with some areas possibly seeing up to 8 inches of snowfall by the evening.
Rob Megnia, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service, said a winter weather advisory was issued for most of the state including central and western Massachusetts and areas in Norfolk, Essex, Suffolk and Middlesex counties.
The lowest predicted snowfall totals are in the communities around the Berkshires.

Communities in Plymouth and Bristol counties along with parts of inner Cape Cod are expected to see higher snowfall totals, Megnia said Sunday morning. A winter storm warning was issued for those areas.

Facing a surge of post-Thanksgiving COVID-19 cases, Massachusetts officials today announced new guidance for residents when it comes to celebrating the December holidays.
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker Tuesday urged people to celebrate the holidays only with household members and to postpone any planned travel over the upcoming weeks that include Christmas and New Year’s Day.
