Paul Holtzman selected as Go To Employment Lawyer

Boston-based law firm Krokidas and Bluestein announced that co-managing partner Paul Holtzman, a West Newton resident, has been selected as one of this year’s Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Go To Employment Lawyers.

SPRINGFIELD Saying it would be a “historic” economic development opportunity, City Councilor at Large Sean Curran has urged Gov. Charlie Baker to locate a state agency in downtown Springfield.
The proposal drew immediate praise from Springfield legislators, who said it would help to bring equity, investment and jobs to the region.
Curran’s request was emailed to Baker on Wednesday. It follows news that the Baker administration has hired McKinsey & Co. for a “future of work” study. The study will examine the shift to remote and hybrid workforce models once the coronavirus pandemic is over, and what it could mean for state policy decisions.

His first day of work is Wednesday.
Williamstown Town Manager Jason Hoch announced in February that he would resign once an interim manager was in place.
His departure is partly related to allegedly not telling the Selectboard, in a timely manner, that a police sergeant had filed a complaint against the town’s police chief with Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
In August, Sgt. Scott McGowan then filed a federal lawsuit naming then police chief Kyle Johnson, Hoch, and the town as defendants.
The civil complaint alleged the police department “turned a blind eye to sexual assault and sex discrimination.”
