Maggie Sullivan ( 21, Political Science) winner of the 2021 29 Who Shine Award
Maggie Sullivan ’21, of West Roxbury, Massachusetts was celebrated by Governor Charlie Baker at a virtual ceremony as a “29 Who Shine Award” recipient. The Massachusetts Department of Higher Education award honors 29 outstanding students, one from each public institution, in the Class of 2021. Sullivan, who is majoring in Political Science and minoring in Leadership and Civic Engagement with a 4.0 GPA, was chosen for this prestigious student award for her work increasing the educational aspirations of students in SouthCoast communities.

Danielle Harriott, a nursing student at Berkshire Community College and a certified nursing assistant on the surgical floor at Berkshire Medical Center, has been selected as BCCâs honoree for the Commonwealthâs 29 Who Shine program.
Harriott will be honored at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, by Governor Charlie Baker and the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education during a YouTube livestream event.
Launched by the Commonwealth in 2011, 29 Who Shine recognizes 29 outstanding public college and university graduates. Each honoree shows exceptional promise as a future leader and has a strong record of academic achievement and civic engagement.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. A local educational organization is supporting Pittsfield schools with tasty bites that can be enjoyed in the comfort of home. The Pittsfield Education Foundation is hosting a takeout-to-donate event called Food for Thought to benefit students and teachers of the Pittsfield Public Schools. This is the organization s fourth annual fundraising event and it has a goal of raising $10,000. Participants will be able to order a Nosh Box for $40 from KJ Nosh catering containing a dinner for two with an assortment of hors d oeuvres prepared by chef Mike Mongeon. The funding we raise supports different efforts that the Pittsfield Education Foundation focuses on, board member Tim Coe said. The Pittsfield Education Foundation is not affiliated with the Pittsfield Public Schools, organization, but we re supporters of students in Pittsfield Public Schools, what we raise will go towards primarily teacher-requested grants for programming for programs and curriculum
