WINCHESTER, MA The Winchester CVS is now administering coronavirus vaccinations, the company announced Friday.
The number of CVS pharmacies taking appointments for the shots in Massachusetts rose from 18 to 136, since the company began giving shots in the state.
The new locations announced Friday are spread throughout the entire state. As of about noon Friday, all of them including the Winchester location were listed as fully booked on the CVS website, but customers were being urged to keep checking and make an appointment when one becomes available.

Residents older than 65, people with two or more underlying health conditions, health care workers, first responders and residents and staff of low income and affordable senior housing are all eligible for the vaccine in the commonwealth.

The ceremony, usually held with a live in-person audience, was virtual in 2021 amid the COVID pandemic.
“We’ve asked a lot of our public safety professionals over the last year, day after day, they showed up time and time again to do their jobs and keep us safe,” said Gov. Charlie Baker. “The brave men and women who run into burning buildings, jump into icy waters, pull people from burning cars and provide emergency medical help to those in need had their hands full in 2020.”

FOXBOROUGH, MA Massachusetts is still seeing over a 1,000 new coronavirus cases per day, but those numbers have been on a sharp decline over the last few weeks throughout much of the state, including in Foxborough.
Town Manager William Keegan updated the Board of Selectmen at its meeting on the state of COVID-19 in town. According to Keegan, the numbers in town have dropped significantly.
As of last Tuesday, there were 37 active cases in town, a huge improvement from just a few weeks ago when Foxborough had almost 200 active cases. Keegan said none of the active cases had required hospitalization, and since the start of the pandemic, the town has seen two deaths,
