In an email to its patients on Friday, Southcoast Health explained the Massachusetts Department of Public Health will no longer send additional first-dose vaccines to hospitals and health systems. The state will re-prioritize and redirect doses to mass vaccination sites, as they have announced two more in Danvers and Dartmouth this week, as well as retail pharmacy sites and community health centers.

The new tool vaxfinder.mass.gov is now live, and state health officials said it will make booking vaccine appointments much easier.
Download our mobile app for iOS to get alerts for local breaking news and weather.
It shows vaccine sites and appointment availability all on one page, or you can search by city or town. It is not a centralized booking system; you still have to click through to the main vaccination site and book an appointment on the individual portals.
