Massachusetts reports 1,243 new COVID-19 cases over 3-day period

Updated: 5:33 PM EDT Jul 26, 2021 The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,243 confirmed COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the statewide total to 669,647 since the start of the pandemic.Monday s COVID-19 report from the DPH includes data from three days: Friday (July 23), Saturday (July 24) and Sunday (July 25).Last Monday, the DPH reported 717 new confirmed coronavirus cases over a three-day period.State health officials also added seven confirmed COVID-19-related death to the state s total, which is now 17,685.According to Monday s daily report from the DPH, 145 patients with confirmed coronavirus cases were hospitalized in Massachusetts, of which 32 were reported to be in an intensive care unit.More than 4.33 million of Massachusetts 7.03 million residents are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the DPH.So far, about 9.79 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to Massachusetts, of which about 8.85 million, or 90.
