Updated: 5:00 PM EDT Jul 6, 2021 The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has released a COVID-19 report that includes four days worth of data following a Fourth of July holiday break.The DPH reported an additional 269 confirmed COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 664,246 since the start of the pandemic.State health officials also added six confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state s total, which is now 17,640.According to Tuesday s report from the DPH, 81 patients with confirmed coronavirus cases were hospitalized in Massachusetts, of which 26 were reported to be in an intensive care unit. In the previous report released by the state on July 2, there were 98 hospitalized COVID-19 patients with 28 of them in ICUs.More than 4.24 million of Massachusetts 7.03 million residents are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the DPH.
