NEW BEDFORD Staying home and working remotely during the pandemic hasn’t been an option for Jeff Glassman and his staff.
“We’re a very labor-intensive business,” said Glassman, chief executive of Darn It!, a New Bedford-based warehouse, distribution and garment repair business.
Glassman said his staff of nearly 80 sewers and warehouse workers have been back on the job for eight months.
“It took a few months to get the staff back,” he said.
“Our business is certainly down,” especially Glassman says, compared to the first quarter of 2020. “But we’re busy now and very lucky to be in the position we are today.”
