County now 10% fully vaccinated

WOOD RIVER Nearly 10% of Madison County residents are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
On Thursday the Illinois Department of Health reported a total of 78,069 vaccinations had been administered in the county. The IDPH reported 52,074 first vaccine doses or 21.1% of the population had been given and 25,995 residents, or 9.83% of the population, were fully vaccinated.
The Madison County Health Department has said the actual numbers for both vaccination categories is higher than the IDPH figures.
The IDPH on Thursday also reported that 16.93% of Jersey County was fully vaccinated. Other fully vaccinated rates were 11.91% of Macoupin County, 15.83% of Calhoun County and 16.93% of Greene County.
