A Mississippi man suspected of robbing two Whitley County restaurants was arrested in Madison County Monday evening.
Corearial Pratt, 33 years old of Lelan, Mississippi was arrested after leading police in a vehicle and foot pursuit.
According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police, prior to the pursuit, KSP was on scene investigating a robbery at âWOWâ BP gas station on Lexington Road in northern Madison County.Â

Alton man facing multiple domestic battery charges

EDWARDSVILLE Multiple domestic battery cases stemming from separate incidents were filed Jan. 27 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Anthony M. McMoore, 31, of Alton, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, a Class 2 felony, and domestic battery (second subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Nov. 12 McMoore allegedly “caused great bodily harm” to a family or household member while parked outside of a residence on Brown Street. He allegedly struck the victim in the face, knocking out one of her teeth. He is also alleged to have attacked the victim in the Upper Alton Cemetery. It was noted that he has a prior conviction for aggravated battery.

Fifty-five cases of coronavirus have been reported at the Madison County Detention Center as of Thursday afternoon.Â
Out of 380 inmates being housed at the facility in downtown Richmond, 55 tested positive, and one staff member.Â
According to Deputy Judge Executive Colleen Chaney, all individuals are asymptomatic and quarantined in the jail for 14 days or the event that they are released.
She stated, effective immediately, the jail and their partnering law enforcement agencies (Madison County Sheriff s Office, Richmond and Berea Police Departments, and Kentucky State Police) will transport arrested individuals to the Clark County Detention Center in Winchester.Â
