Some central Ohioans may soon be able to sign up for their first of two COVID-19 shots as local health departments move into another phase of vaccinations next week.
But a limited number of doses may mean some will wait longer to get their first dose of the vaccine, health department leaders told The Dispatch.
Columbus Public Health expects to receive around 600 doses for the first week of Phase 1B, while Franklin County Public Health is planning to get 500 doses for week one of the next phase.
Phase 1B, which includes Ohioans age 65 and older, teachers and people with severe pre-existing conditions, is set to begin Jan. 19.
