Buncombe County officials said Saturday, July 24, that multiple law enforcement agencies are currently searching for a wanted man in the Barnardsville area.
Officials say Larry Wayne Hipps, of Greenville, Tenn., is wanted in both Tennessee and North Carolina on multiple charges.
The Buncombe County Sheriff s Office recovered a stolen vehicle that Hipps was driving in the Barnardsville area early on Saturday, and the search, including K9 units and multiple agencies, was continuing into late Saturday night.
He’s looking at any means to get away; he will do anything to keep from being apprehended, Mars Hill Police Chief Jon Clark told News 13 Saturday evening, so I consider that suspect to be very dangerous.
Alabama cop resigns 11 weeks after he was convicted of murder
An Alabama police officer guilty of murdering a suicidal man resigned from his department Friday.
Huntsville cop William “Ben” Darby was convicted on May 7 in the murder of Jeffrey Parker in 2018. However, he kept getting paid because he had accrued so much leave time.
That came to an end Friday when Darby voluntarily resigned, the Huntsville Police Department told local ABC affiliate WAAY. MADISON, TEXAS â The Madison County Sheriffâs Office is actively working on a human smuggling case.
At the time of this publication, one suspect is in custody and a stolen weapon has been recovered.
Additionally, four victims have been rescued.
According to the Madison County Sheriffâs Office, this is an active case and they are currently working alongside the Madisonville Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol, and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
