The Buncombe County Sheriff s Office recovered a stolen vehicle that Hipps was driving in the Barnardsville area early on Saturday, and the search, including K9 units and multiple agencies, was continuing into late Saturday night.  He’s looking at any means to get away; he will do anything to keep from being apprehended, Mars Hill Police Chief Jon Clark told News 13 Saturday evening, so I consider that suspect to be very dangerous.

At the time of this publication, one suspect is in custody and a stolen weapon has been recovered. Additionally, four victims have been rescued. According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, this is an active case and they are currently working alongside the Madisonville Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol, and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
