EDWARDSVILLE A Wood River woman faces multiple drug and weapons charges, as departments around the county continue filing new cases accumulated throughout the year.
Helen R. Parker, 46, identified as homeless out of Wood River, was charged Jan. 29 with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony, as well as two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapons, all Class 4 felonies.
The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
According to court documents, on Jan. 28 Parker allegedly was found to be in possession of between five and 15 grams of methamphetamine, less than 15 grams each of hydrocodone and ecstasy, and an immediately-accessible stun gun in a vehicle. Bail was set at $30,000.

EDWARDSVILLE An Alton man was charged Thursday with possession of methamphetamine and Alprazolam with intent to deliver.
Jayson A. Bull, 40, was charged Jan. 28 with unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class X felony; and unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a Class 3 felony.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Jan. 27 Bull was found to be in possession of more than 15 grams of methamphetamine, and Alprazolam, with intent to deliver.
Bail was set at $50,000.

• Shane M. McBride, 27, of Granite City, was charged Jan. 20 with home invasion, a Class X felony. The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. According to court documents, on Jan. 18 McBride entered a home in the 2500 block of Washington Avenue and struck one of the occupants. Bail was set at $150,000.
• Damon T.M. Starks, 26, of Granite City, was charged Jan. 20 with unlawful possession of a stolen firearm, offenses relating to motor vehicles, unlawful possession of a stolen license plate, all Class 2 felonies; and aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, a Class 4 felony. Zackary A. Moore, 23, was charged Jan. 6 with two counts of criminal sexual assault.
The case was presented by the Wood River Police Department.
According to court documents, the incident occurred June 10, 2019 when Moore committed several sex acts with a then-19-year-old woman who was unable to give consent.
Bail was set at $100,000.
In an unrelated incident, an Alton man who had been charged in a separate offense Jan. 4 was charged with aggravated battery on Jan. 6.
Leon English, 26, was charged Jan. 6 with aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the East Alton Police Department.

EDWARDSVILLE An Alton man faces felony weapons and drug charges after an incident Dec. 29.
Larry R. Maher, 36, of Alton, was charged Dec. 30 with unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, a Class 3 felony; and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, both Class 3 felonies.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Dec. 29 Maher was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine, and was carrying an SCCY 9mm pistol while having a prior felony conviction for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
