Surprised Bull Moose Kicks and Injures Hiker Near Ennis
According to Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, a hiker was injured during a surprise close encounter with a bull moose east of Ennis. while hiking on the Jack Creek Trail (USFS Trail 6317) east of Ennis on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
Two men in their 70s were hiking on U.S. Forest Service Trail 6317, known as the Jack Creek Trail. The trail is approximately 10 miles east of Ennis. When the men were about two miles up the trail, they encountered a bull moose standing about 10 yards off one side of the trail, according to the press release from Montana FWP.
MADISON COUNTY, Mont.- The Madison County Public Health Department said they are working with both the Ruby Valley Medical Center and the Madison Valley Medical Center for the distribution and administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
Madison County Public Information Officer Bonnie OâNeil said the county health department is asking residents to directly contact the Ruby Valley Medical Center and the Madison Valley Medical Center to be placed on their waiting list.
Once the vaccine is received by the facility, the facility will contact patients by using the information on the waitlist to schedule an appointment.
Approximately, 100 vaccines are being received per week within Madison County.

The year started off with the sentencing of Kyle Hamm and Journey Wienke. Both men were convicted in late 2019 in the killings of Helena Valley residents Charla Rae Taylor, 64, and David Muncie Taylor, 61. The killings were orchestrated by the couple s son Kaleb Taylor, and juries found that Hamm and Wienke were also responsible in the deaths of these individuals.
Hamm was sentenced to 80 years in prison and Wienke was sentenced to life. Kaleb Tayor was previously sentenced to two consecutive life sentences.
