Aishe Ghosh Aishe Ghosh is a student activist and politician who will make her electoral debut in the West Bengal Assembly elections 2021. Ghosh will be contesting the election from Jamuria constituency in West Bengal on a Communist Party of India (Marxist) ticket. She is a research scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and is currently the president of the JNU Students Union (JNUSU). She is also a member of Student’s Federation of India, (SFI). SFI is a student’s wing of CPI(M). Ghosh hails from Durgapur in the Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal. Born on October 22, 1995, Ghosh is the oldest child of Debashish Ghosh and Sharmishta Ghosh. Her father is a member of Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU), which is the labour wing of CPI(M) and he works at Damodar Valley Corporation. Aishe’s mother Sharmishta Ghosh is a housewife.
