NYSC: OAU students lament over missing Stream 1, Batch A, 2021

Share Students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, lamented over missing the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Stream 1, Batch A of 2021. The students, who lamented over the delay in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Tuesday, in Ile-Ife, attributed their grievance on missing the Stream 1, Batch A service to the school management for not uploading their names in the NYSC portal. One of the affected students, Ibrahim Yusuf, who studied electrical electronic engineering, said missing it was painful because the students had stayed at home for almost a year because of COVID-19. “Actually, we felt bad because we have been at home for a whole year, we have been anxious to go for NYSC, even our parents have been expecting us to be in service,” he said.

Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Bangladesh have Honour of Virtual Meeting with World Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

8th February 2021 The National Amila of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya have official meeting with His Holiness On 7 February 2021,  the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad held a virtual online meeting with the National Amila (Executive) of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Bangladesh (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Auxiliary). His Holiness presided the meeting from his office in Islamabad, Tilford, whilst the Amila representatives joined from the  Darut Tabligh Mosque complex in Dhaka, which serves as the  National Headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Bangladesh. During the meeting, the Khuddam representatives were able to present a report of their respective departmental activities and proposed future plans.

Affton Schlochtermeier Affton Schlochtermeier is a senior at Panhandle State, double majoring in Agribusiness and Marketing. A Russell, Kansas native, she has spent the past ten years in Meade, which helped her decide to attend OPSU. Schlochtermeier is no stranger to the Aggie Nation because she has three older siblings that all graduated from Panhandle State. “When I heard them talk about their experiences, I knew I wanted to be down here as well,” she said, “The size of the school is just perfect for me, and I love that you can go get help from professors that know your name and not have to refer to you as an ID number!”

A public high school in Illinois has approved a student’s request for a religious exemption from a required sexuality program after a national legal group voiced concern that the student faced the threat of possible discipline for her refusal to take part in the program.

Student faces disciplinary hearing for skipping sexuality program

A high school student in Illinois will face a disciplinary hearing this week over her refusal to participate in the school’s gender and sexuality program after her parents requested that she be exempt from the requirement.  A national religious freedom legal nonprofit sent a demand letter to the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora on Tuesday, arguing that the three-year residential public school unlawfully denied religious accommodations to Marcail McBride to excuse her from attending the school’s Student Gender and Sexuality Program. According to the letter sent by two First Liberty Institute lawyers, the McBrides have “repeatedly communicated” to the school that the required program “violates Marcail’s religious beliefs.”
