Tesla Model S Plaid+ Delayed As Musk Pushes Prices Up

The EV manufacturer just bumped up prices and pushed back delivery dates on the 1,100-hp+ performance sedan. Tesla is forever in the news headlines for various reasons, two of the latest being its misunderstood claims of self-driving tech, and its radical new yoke steering wheel, which has been causing quite the commotion on social media. The latest news to come from the California-based manufacturer has to do with what is possibly the hottest electric car right now, and one of the most potent: the Tesla Model S Plaid+. The Plaid was first revealed back in September of 2020 with insane power outputs and a hefty $119,990 price tag and was recently updated with a 520-mile Plaid Plus option. But just when you thought that Tesla was done causing a stir, it ups the price of its flagship performer by $10,000 and is making buyers wait even longer to get hands on it.

Tesla Just Launched Its Own Social Media Platform

Tesla The Tesla Engagement Hub encourages Tesla owners to Take actions on behalf of Tesla and the movement for cleaner energy. Instead of users being able to start threads asking questions and starting discussions, Tesla owners are reduced to engaging only by comments on Tesla s curation of posts. The electric car maker will no longer be allowing people to ask advice such as How do I go about requesting for eMMC recall upgrade, or pass on useful information such as How to wake a dead Tesla. More likely, though, Tesla wants to kill post titles such as I got the Model S bait-and-switched, too and Tesla: A Thinking Person s Car. Some are ill-equipped for ownership, and is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The change will likely send many of the forum s regulars to any of the large independent Tesla forums and away from Tesla s website.

Spotted: The 7-Seater Tesla Model S Is Real

How many other three-row sedans can you think of? Although Tesla now sells the Model Y crossover with an optional seven-seat configuration for $3,000, there s barely any space back there for kids, let alone full-sized adults. If you really need to seat more than five occupants and can t stretch to the Model X, we d recommend a more conventional crossover like the Honda Pilot instead. But now it looks like another Tesla will be offered with a third seating row, and it s none other than the refreshed Model S. This much is apparent based on flyover footage of the new Model S which was shared on the YouTube channel Gabeincal. In the drone footage, several Model S models are parked alongside one another, with the controversial yoke steering wheel visible.
