Fix the 1992 Constitution before 2024 elections – Abu Sakara advises

The 2012 flagbearer of the Convention People s Party (CPP) and well recognized Agriculture Scientist, Dr. Foster Abu Sakara has advised the Akufo Addo-led administration and other interest groups to push for a change of the 1992 constitution before election 2024 is held.
According to him, a referendum to change the 1992 constitution must be held before 2023 in order to pave way for the reset of what he described as dysfunction system of Ghana.
He is of the view that if the current constitution is not changed before the next elections, the modus operandi of whoever wins the election will not change.

James Kwabena Bomfeh, a former Acting General Secretary of the Convention People s Party (CPP), has reiterated his position on the government s fight against galamsey menace in Ghana.
As a result of the galamsey activities, the country s river bodies have been polluted making it difficult to get drinkable water.
Aside the contamination of the river bodies, the illegal miners have also destroyed the forest reserves.
Their activities are having bad effects on the health and development of the nation.
Due to this, two hundred (200) soldiers have been deployed to the mining areas to remove all persons mining illegally as part of the government s efforts for the river bodies to return to their natural purest state and the forest reserves to be restored.
