Mr Chauvin has been charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter over the death of black man George Floyd. Mr Floyd died in May last year after the former police officer placed his knee on Mr Floyd s neck during an arrest triggering waves of protests and violence across America. The prosecution has asked jurors to “believe their own eyes” when considering their decision while the defence argued the jury should consider the context surrounding the incident.
