Rites consortium bags Rs 61 crore order in Haryana

Rites said its consortium has secured a general consultancy order from Haryana Rail infrastructure Development Corporation for their Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC). On 11 February 2021, the company had informed that it had emerged as L-1 (lowest) bidder for the aforementioned contract. The order is for a new electrified broad-gauge double line (about 144 kms) from Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda in the state of Haryana with speed potential of 160 kmph. Fee payable to the consortium will be about Rs 61 crore. RITES is a Miniratna (Category - I) Schedule A Public Sector Enterprise and a leading player in the transport consultancy and engineering sector in India, having diversified services and geographical reach. As of 31 December 2020, the Government of India held 72.2% stake in the company.

Tata Power to develop 15 MW solar power project for Tata Steel, Jamshedpur

Tata Power announced that TP Saurya, the wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Tata Steel (TSL) to develop a 15 MW solar project at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The energy will be supplied to TSL under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) valid for a period of 25 years from scheduled commercial operation date. The project is required to be commissioned within 6 months from the date of execution of the PPA. The Plant is expected to generate an average of 32 MUs of energy per year and will annually offset approximately average 25.8 Million Kg of CO2. Engineers India jumps after order win

Engineers India (EIL) spurted 2.93% to Rs 89.60 after the company secured a deal from Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) for capacity expansion of Panipat Refinery to 25 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA). Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has awarded a project to EIL for the execution of consultancy for overall project management and EPCM services (Phase-II) for capacity expansion of Panipat Refinery from 15 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) to 25 MMTPA (P-25 project). The total awarded order value is around Rs 600 crore with a total project schedule of 40 months for mechanical completion. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 2 March 2021. EIL s consolidated net profit dropped 19.7% to Rs 90.32 crore on a 6% decline in net sales to Rs 845.49 crore in Q3 FY21 over Q3 FY20.
