Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in York County identified: coroner

Norman Mann III, of York City, was identified as the man killed in a hit-and-run crash on Route 30 in front of National Tire and Battery in Manchester Township Saturday morning.
Mann wasn’t near or in a crosswalk in the area of 401 Loucks Road, according to the York County Coroner’s Office. The incident happened around 1:22 a.m.
The 40-year-old was struck when he tried to cross Route 30 eastbound. The driver fled the scene. Mann was pronounced dead at 2:10 a.m.
His cause of death and manner of death are pending. An autopsy has been scheduled for at 8 a.m. on Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
