Victoria COVID: State's lockdown to be extended as state records 16 new cases

Advertisement Victoria’s lockdown will be extended past Wednesday as the state continues to try to get ahead of its COVID-19 outbreak. As the state recorded 16 new local cases on Monday, Premier Daniel Andrews said a decision on the length of the lockdown would be announced on Tuesday. “I know this is not the news people want to hear,” he said. “We will not be ready.” During a COVID-19 update on Monday, Mr Andrews said the state had dodged “weeks and weeks” of lockdown by moving swiftly with restrictions, as Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton urged some patrons at the recent MCG Carlton versus Geelong match to get retested.

Spotlight on the Sussex ice cream maestro

Tell us a bit about yourself I’m Seb Cole, aged 41. I grew up in South London but my family are from Ditchling originally so I visited the area every Sunday as a child and spent many a day in and around Brighton as I grew up. I attended the University of Sussex from 1998 to 2001 then moved to London for a few years before returning to Brighton in 2007. Where are your Boho Gelato outlets? I opened the original Boho Gelato in Pool Valley, Brighton, in 2010. I opened in Weymouth in 2014 and then a second Brighton shop at 31 Ship Street in 2015, followed by a further outlet in Montague Street, Worthing.
