Grand Erie Special Education Staff Now Eligible For COVID-19 Vaccines

Special Education Staff within the Grand Erie District School Board will begin getting vaccines starting next week. Both the Brant County and Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit will offer prioritized access to the vaccine for Grand Erie staff who provide direct support to students with special education learning needs. All Grand Erie educational assistants and elementary or secondary school special education class teachers and their prep teachers are eligible to register for a COVID-19 vaccination starting Saturday. Grand Erie is also working with the health units to verify if there are additional staff who may be eligible for this round of vaccinations.
