Publisher Take-Two Interactive recently released their Spring quarterly earnings call, which has revealed some information on what the company expects to release in their slate of games by 2024. Obviously nothing has been confirmed yet, but surely the next GTA is one of those titles?
All in all, Take-Two is planning to release 62 games by the end of fiscal year 2024 (March 31st 2024). Of those games, 23 will be â
immersive coreâ titles (the usual AAA premium titles) as well as 4 â
mid-coreâ games, 6 Independent games published by Private Division, 20 mobile games, and 9
new iterations of previously-released titles .
Thereâs a lot you can speculate from that lineup. The new iterations would simply be re-releases like Grand Theft Auto 5 for next-gen consoles, and some other projects have already been revealed. For instance, the 4 immersive core games out by the end of fiscal year 2022 (March 31st 2022) includes two sports titles - WWE 2K22 and NBA 2K22 -

Video games are expensive, mainly because they offer experiences up to and excess of 100 hours in some cases. They also cost a lot to make and take quite a lot of time. So with the new generation of consoles the question of AAA games increasing their price tag has been raised a few times, and Take Two says consumers are ready for $70 games, but not all titles will be priced like that.
Speaking at a recent conference, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, reiterated their companyâs stance on increasing the price of AAA games by $10, bringing the total cost to around $70 for the biggest releases. The first time this was brought up was when Take Two announced that the upcoming NBA 2K21 game would be priced at $69.99:

Itâs been a long time since Grand Theft Auto V released, and since then the anticipation of the next GTA from Rockstar has ever increased. The studio seemingly has a knack for creating incredibly realized and dynamic open worlds, and a new patent suggests the next GTA entry could include extremely advanced AI.
The patent was discovered on Reddit, and whilst thereâs no mention of Grand Theft Auto 6 specifically, it was created by David Hynd, the Associate Director of Technology at Rockstar, and Simon Parr, the Lead AI Programmer at Rockstar. And since it has to do with traffic and NPC driving behaviour, itâs probably not Red Dead Redemption 3 either.
