Mar 8, 2021 Dozens of event venues in Grand Rapids and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce sent a letter to Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Monday, asking for her to increase capacity limits. Weddings and luncheons currently have a limit of 25 people. Venue owners say their businesses can t survive on the current limits and want to be able to operate at 50 percent capacity.
