A candidate from Mamata Banerjee s Trinamool Congress was chased out of a polling booth in Bengal today as voting was on in the third phase of the assembly election in the state. Sujata Mondol Khan was chased with lathis by a group of people in the middle of a field. Ms Banerjee said BJP workers chased Trinamool candidate Sujata Mondal and hit her on head near a polling booth .

The second of the eight-phase West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 voting is scheduled for today. Nandigram, where CM Mamata Banerjee is locking horns with Suvendu Adhikari, will also vote today. A total of 30 constituencies will go for voting in this phase.
Districts going to polls in the second phase are 24 Parganas Part-1, Bankura Part-2, Paschim Midnapore Part-2, and East Midnapore. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will face Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram. The voting is likely to start at 8 am and end at 6 pm.

Hyderabad: Trinamool Congress Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday (today) sent letters to party chiefs of ten non-BJP parties including the YSRCP chief and AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
In her three-page letter, Mamata Banerjee requested the non-BJP party chiefs to unite with her and fight against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre and form an alternative non-BJP Front before 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
The letter which was sent a day before West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee s assembly constituency Nandigram went to elections. The letter was penned by Mamata Banerjee.
