The Left Front and the Congress in West Bengal were unable to achieve a lead in any constituency till Sunday evening, according to data from the Election Commission. However, alliance partner Indian Secular Front, which contested under the name Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party was ahead in one seat. The Indian Secular Front was not able to register itself as a political party and hence fought under the symbol of Rashtriya Secular Majlis Party.

New Delhi: The much-awaited results for the high-stakes assembly elections held in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry will come out today (May 2, 2021). As per the latest trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in Assam and Puducherry. The saffron party is in close fight with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK+ is ahead of the incumbent AIADMK+, whereas, in Kerala, the LDF is likely to retain the throne.
