Toyota Yaris in India to be reportedly replaced by Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Updated Apr 19, 2021 | 08:57 IST
Set to be manufactured in the same factory as the one where Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is manufactured, the upcoming Toyota sedan will be powered by the same 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine. Toyota Yaris in India to be reportedly replaced by Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
You guys remember the Maruti Suzuki and Toyota partership? The one that, in India, has given us cars such as the Toyota Glanza and Toyota Urban Cruiser? Yeah, so it appears the two companies may be considering yet another addition to that list, but this time it could be a sedan. Okay, allow us to elucidate word has it that Toyota India has been considering discontinuing its Yaris sedan here and taking its place in the automaker s portfolio could be a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, quite like how things went with Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
Nissan Magnite is currently priced between Rs 5.59 lakh and Rs 9.90 lakh.
It’s currently offered in five variants: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, and XV Premium (O).
60 percent bookings are for the higher variants while 15 percent are for the CVT models.
Comes with two petrol engines: a 72PS 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and a 100PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit.
It rivals the Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
Calling the Nissan Magnite a successful model is probably an understatement. The sub-4 metre SUV turned around Nissan’s fortunes in India, considering that the manufacturer was struggling with sales before its introduction. And now, a bit over four months after its launch on December 02, the Magnite has racked up over 50,000 bookings.
