Sergeant Edwards said the accused had been involved in an earlier incident that had nothing to do with the victim and that he got the wrong person . The accused was released on bail with conditions and is due to face the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on May 5.

A 24-year-old man who went on an interstate road trip with a stolen car was found enjoying a meal parked near a Coast Mcdonald’s, a court has heard.
Neckore Gulmatico pleaded guilty in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday to three charges including bringing stolen goods into Queensland and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Police prosecutor Brendan Newman said Gulmatico stole a grey Mazda 6 from Evans Head on March 28 before driving it to Coolum.
“ … (Gulmatico) has acquired spare keys to the vehicle and stolen the vehicle,” he said.
Sergeant Newman said police found the Mooloolaba resident in the car at 9:17pm on March 29.
