Marcus Daly Hospital Plans Second Dose Pfizer Immunization
Over 900 people received their First Dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine three weeks ago at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. It s time now for the Second Dose of the vaccine and the hospital will repeat the procedure of the earlier Clinic this Saturday, March 6th.
Only those who were at the first clinic are to come to this clinic. They will come at the same time they were scheduled in the initial February 13th clinic. The time is listed on their appointment reminder card. This is by appointment only.
There will be no online sign-ups and no walk-in appointments. Only the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered. The location is the same as February 13 - the Bitterroot Physicians Clinic at 1200 Westwood Drive, Hamilton. The recipients are in Phase 1A and 1B. Phase 1B includes those 70 years of age and older, people 16-69 with high-risk medical conditions and American Indian and other people of color who may be
Largest Ravalli County COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Is Saturday
A Ravalli County community vaccination event will have 975 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses Saturday. The inoculations are
by appointment only and will be given to people who are already on lists from a number of vaccine providers in the valley, though the clinic will be conducted by Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. The Pfizer doses are from an unused supply that Governor Greg Gianforte released statewide and are being stored an an ultra-cold freezer from Hamilton s Rocky Mountain Laboratories. It will
not be a walk-in clinic. Doses will be provided to people who have preciously signed up at various health provider lists and are in the Phase 1 A or 1 B categories. Christina Voyles of the Hamilton hospital said pharmacies and Ravalli County Public Health have partnered to provide names from their sign-up lists, which are combined with Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital s database.
Hamilton s Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital has updated webpages and a new phone line dealing with COVID-19 issues. The phone number of the Covid-19 Vaccination Interest List is (406) 375-4799. It s much like the Ravalli County Public Health Notice of Intent line, where people can register that they would like to have a vaccination when the vaccine is available. The hospital is creating a database from which to schedule inoculations. On the first day of the phone line, over 400 calls were received.
Christina Boyles of the hospital said that she expects people will be registering at many lists that are now being offered by authorized providers in the county. By registering at one list, you are not prevented from getting the vaccine at any other place. The hospital Vaccination Interest number is (406) 375-4799. The hospital also has a hospital portal website that is packed with COVID-19 information, which also has an online registration form.
