ISHPEMING The Ishpeming Police Department has arrested a 28-year-old Gwinn man in relation to an incident that occurred at 701 E. Empire St. in Ishpeming at about 8 a.m. Wednesday.
After the police department arrived on the scene, it was discovered that a 19-year-old Champion man had been stabbed in the leg.
While searching for a possible suspect who had fled the scene, officers were dispatched to UP Health System-Bell on a report of a male subject who walked into the emergency room with several lacerations to his arms.
It was discovered that the Gwinn man had been stabbed four times and was stabbed at the Canda Manor Apartments before fleeing the scene to the hospital, police said. Both men were ultimately taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment.
