A tale of two votes (one of them a secret)

A tale of two votes (one of them a secret) Friday, February 5, 2021  |  Chad Groening, Steve Jordahl (OneNewsNow.com) English Spanish Two votes on Thursday involved the future roles of two GOP House members – and neither result is pleasing conservative observers. In one case, a former Texas political leader finds it shameful that House Republicans overwhelmingly rejected a call to punish a high-ranking member of their own party for her disloyalty to President Donald Trump. By a secret ballot vote of 145-61, Republicans defeated an effort by staunch conservatives in the party to remove Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) from her number-three leadership position in the wake of her vote last month to impeach President Trump.

She also conflated Q with the media. Now, the idiot is about to bounce her off her committees. The Democrats are not being timid this time.

Many conservatives remain deferential to Trump, while others are trying to move ahead.  Cheney faced backlash for voting to impeach Trump, while conspiracy theorist Greene was applauded.  In August 2017, private citizen Joe Biden, dismayed by then-President Donald Trump s response to the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, wrote that Americans were living through a battle for the soul of the nation.

Pelosi Calls McCarthy a Member of the Q Party After Failure to Act on Greene

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-California) referred to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-California) as a member of the “Q” political party after House Republicans failed to take any action against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia). Pelosi released the statement following news that the Republican caucus would not remove Greene, a supporter of QAnon, from the House Budget and Education panels. Greene has been criticized for espousing anti-Semitism and conspiracies, including claims that several school shootings were staged, a prominent Jewish family was responsible for a laser in space starting wildfires, and prominent Democrats had engaged in Satanic rituals involving children.
