MI Blueprint for Comprehensive Student Recoveryprovides key strategies for school districts and policymakers to help Michigan s children begin to rebound after the brutal challenges to their education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In February 2021, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Order 2021-02, to create the Student Recovery Advisory Council of Michigan. She tasked the advisory council with creating guidance that helps local school leaders and educators build comprehensive, evidence-based, and equity-driven local recovery plans to help emerge from the pandemic.

LANSING - The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) announced today that it has approved a request by New Paradigm For Education (NPFE) to offer a Michigan alternative route to interim teacher certification program.
New Paradigm will offer a residency-based alternative route to teacher certification program to recruit, train, and retain high quality educators, particularly teachers of color and male teachers of color, for careers in teaching in Michigan schools.

LANSING - The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) is pleased to announce additional dates for its 2021 Education Workforce Virtual Job Fairs, presented in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).
The 2021 virtual job fairs are open to employers of educators and educational support staff, as well as all individuals seeking to work in the education field. These events will leverage LEO s expertise in hosting virtual job fairs to ensure a smooth and robust experience for both employers and job seekers. LEO utilizes the Brazen platform that features increased functionality and ease of use for participants.
