The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call from Martin County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, April 12, 2021, requesting KSP’s assistance regarding the investigation of possible human remains found in the Tomahawk community of Martin County.
KSP investigators responded to a residence on South Milo Road where they located what appeared to be possible human remains in a wooded area behind the residence. The area was secured until additional investigators could return during daylight hours to conduct a secondary search. The Martin County Coroner will transport the remains to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort, KY for possible identification.
