Authorities say at about 6:15 a.m., first responders were notified by Union Pacific Railroad that a train had hit a person on the tracks. The person was struck about a half-mile southeast of the Marshall County Landfill. First responders found Teresa Hannam, 55, of Marshalltown, unresponsive. Authorities said
Escaped inmate captured in ceiling of hospital
Inmate Jeffrey Campbell was taken to the hospital on Wednesday around 9:30 a.m.
While in the hospital he was able to lock himself inside a bathroom, then removed several ceiling tiles and climbed into the metal structure in the ceiling, deputies said.
Deputies, along with Plymouth Police and Indiana State Police responded to the hospital and located the inmate in the ceiling above the emergency department, reports said.
Campbell refused to come down voluntarily, but was apprehended using ladders, reports said.
A report will be forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor for review of additional charges.

During a press briefing around 10:45 a.m., Sgt. Andrew Wiggins with Murray Police Department said at 8:54 a.m. police received reports of gunshots fired at the Murray High School and immediately responded. Law enforcement officers with Calloway County Sheriff s Office, Murray State Police Department, Kentucky State Police, and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
“While clearing the building, no evidence of a gunshot was found,” he said. “All students and staff are safe. The investigation is going on at this time.”
Murray Independent Schools Superintendent Coy Samons said upon receiving the report that Murray PD responded to threat, the high school went into immediate lockdown. He said teachers locked classroom doors and students hid in the corners until they received notice the incident was resolved. The school was in lockdown for about an hour and 15 minutes, he added.
