Get Android 11 on Redmi Note 7 Pro with AwakenOS 1.3
AwakenOS, a custom ROM project, came into existence back in September. We already brought you the first impressions and overview of Android 11 based AwakenOS featuring POCO F1, but since then the Awaken has gone through lots of changes. The developers have baked in tons of customizations, and nifty features in the recent releases of the AwakenOS.
Hence, we decided to flash a recent build of AwakenOS on Redmi Note 7 Pro, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the level of customizations on a custom ROM. AwakenOS 1.3 also brings Android 11 to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, so that could be another reason for you to try the AwakenOS on your unit.

As a part of the December Pixel Feature Drop, Google announced a new feature for select Pixel phones called Adaptive Charging. The idea for Adaptive Charging was to offer a solution that could help
take care of your battery by charging it steadily over a long period of time rather than quickly.
I’m not sure there was a lot of confusion about how Adaptive Charging would work (we assumed it worked at night and trickle charged a phone), but a Google support page for the feature lays out exactly when your Pixel 4, Pixel 4a, or Pixel 5 will try and trigger it.

One of the interesting new things that Pixel owners are getting from the feature drop announced this month is something called Adaptive Charging. It basically slows down charging your phone while you’re sleeping to preserve your battery health which is a good thing for those who like to plug in their phones overnight. But it looks like there might be a small caveat as it will only work for a certain period when your alarm is scheduled to go off.
Usually, when you sleep and charge your device, you won’t mind if it charges slowly as you’re not using it anyway. So this new feature for Pixel phones will steadily charge it so as to prolong your battery life as it will maintain the original capacity over time. The Adaptive Charging mode can be enabled and disabled through Settings > Battery > Adaptive Battery > Adaptive Charging. You’ll see if it’s active through a note at the bottom of the Ambient / Always-on Display.
