The Band to release 50th anniversary edition of Stage Fright

by Steve Newton on December 18th, 2020 at 5:17 PM 1 of 1 2 of 1 Universal Music Canada announced today that the Band will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its third album, Stage Fright, with various remixed, remastered, and expanded packages, including a super deluxe box set that includes two CDs, two Blu-rays, one vinyl LP, and a 7-inch single. That s the one I want one for Christmas, actually. Too bad I ll have to wait until the release date of February 12. All the Anniversary Edition releases were overseen by principal songwriter Robbie Robertson and boast a new stereo mix by Bob Clearmountain from the original multi-track masters, reads the UMC press release. The Band s Stage Fright Expanded in 50th Anniversary Box Set

Stage Fright will be the subject of an expanded 50th anniversary box set. The upcoming reissue will feature a remixed and remastered album presented in its originally planned song order. “I’m enjoying this new version, this story, this musical journey,” Robbie Robertson, who oversaw the set s creation, said in an official statement. “It feels like a fulfillment, and I know my brothers in the Band would definitely agree.” The multi-format Super Deluxe box set includes two CDs, two Blu-rays, one vinyl LP, and a 7-inch single of Time to Kill.
