Guy Reffitt, an accused Capitol rioter, wrote a letter from a Washington D.C. jail where other alleged rioters are held If overthrow was the quest, it would have no doubt been overthrown, he wrote in the letter, which was exclusively obtained by ProPublica
The letter was included in its entirety in the federal criminal case against Reffitt
Reffitt made headlines in January after he allegedly threatened to kill his teenage son for calling police on him

BOISE (Idaho Statesman) One was a sheriff who raped a minor. Another was an officer who stole money from clients of his property-management business. These are among the former law enforcement officials who were stripped of their certifications last year.
In 2020, 44 Idaho police officers had their law enforcement certifications revoked because of misconduct, according to records provided to the Idaho Statesman by Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training.
Palmer lost his bid for a sixth term as sheriff in November.
The Sherman County sheriffâs marine patrol is a seasonal operation responsible for providing boater safety services, doing boat inspections and conducting patrols along the countyâs stretch of the Hood River.
âWe advertised through the newspapers and we advertised on our website,â said Sherman County Sheriff Brad Lohrey, who added itâs not an easy position to fill. âWe got one applicant and that was him.â
The marine patrol is a part-time position that is only staffed Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the end of May to Sept. 1.

When “Shrill” premiered on Hulu in March 2019, the show felt like another example of a comedy filmed in Portland that both reflected and advanced the national image of the Rose City as a comfy haven for unconventional, creative types. Like “Portlandia” before it, “Shrill” starred a “Saturday Night Live” veteran, Aidy Bryant, who led a diverse cast in a show that was too unique to fit snugly into the usual TV boxes.
