Maharashtra to initiate measures for prevention of diseases ANI 26 Jul 2021, 08:55 GMT+10 Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 26 (ANI): Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Sunday reviewed the ongoing efforts to provide medical services to the people in the flood-hit areas of the state, and instructed them to prevent diseases caused by contaminated water. As per a release issued by the state government, the Tope asked the health authorities to provide immediate medical treatment to the injured in the flood-hit areas. After interacting with the District Surgeons, District Health Officers at Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, the Health Minister was apprised about the necessary medicines, pills and medical teams. The Health Minister also appealed to the health authorities to be vigilant for preventive treatment to prevent the spread of communicable diseases after the floods, the release said.

40 cases reviewed in District Quality Control Board meeting

40 cases reviewed in District Quality Control Board meeting FAISALABAD: The District Quality Control Board meeting was held here on Sunday. The moot was held in the chair of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali. The medical store inspection reports of drug inspectors were reviewed in the meeting. Total 40 cases against medical stores found involved in different violations of Drug Act were examined during the meeting and hearing of pleas of medical store owners were made in this regard. After hearing, the meeting decided to refer the cases against 20 medical stores to the Drug Court. Moreover, owners of 14 medical stores were given warning and five cases were adjourned till next meeting due to not appearing of medical stores owners and one FIR was registered for serious violation of Drug Act.
