The local health department is looking for suggestions and requests from residents in its four county service area as to where different pop up vaccination clinics could take place, including bars or farmers markets.

District Health Department Four updated its COVID-19 vaccination clinic schedule Tuesday afternoon and is now offering vaccines at some clinics to people as young as 12 years old in its service area.
The local health department services those who live and work in Cheboygan, Alpena, Montmorency and Presque Isle counties. All of the new vaccine clinics will take place at District Health Department Four offices in those four counties.
From 9 a.m. until noon on Thursday, May 27, there will be a Moderna vaccine clinic offered to locals who are 18 years old and older at the health department s Alpena office. This office is located at 100 Woods Circle, Suite 200, in Alpena.

This Saturday, District Health Department Four and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will be offering free COVID-19 testing to Michigan residents who would like to be tested in Alpena.
The testing location will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Alpena County Fairgrounds Merchants Building 625 Eleventh Street, in Alpena with no preregistration needed to get tested. This testing site will be open to any resident of the State of Michigan, especially those in Alpena, Cheboygan, Montmorency and Presque Isle counties, which are serviced by District Health Department Four. Getting tested for COVID-19 doesn t need to be a hassle, said District Health Department Four s Certified Health Education Specialist Cathy Goike. It can be free and easy.
