Telangana Imposes Mandatory Mask Rule To Contain COVID Spread  Apr 10, 2021, 10:00 IST Measures to control spread of Covid-19  Wearing of Mask made Mandatory Keeping in view the rapid increase in Covid Cases, it has been decided that the rule of wearing mask shall be implemented strictly across Telangana in all public places with immediate effect. In this regard, a meeting with all Commissioners of Police, District Superintendents of Police and all other officers up to the rank of SHOs has been held through Video Conference. Range DIsG, Zonal IsGP and ADG (Law & Order) have participated in the meeting. Police Officers across the state have been directed to coordinate with all the stakeholders in the local communities including Resident’s Welfare Associations, officials at the Village/Ward level and ensure strict implementation of the rule relating to wearing of the mask mandatorily in all public places.

Police Personnel in Telangana To Be Vaccinated Apr 10, 2021, 09:29 IST Hyderabad: Being Front Line Work Force, Police Personnel including Home Guards across the state have been directed to undergo Covid Vaccination, in case not already done in view of Rapid increase in Covid cases all over the State. The Unit Officers including District Superintendents of Police and Commissioners of Police have been directed to take up a special drive to identify Police Personnel who have not yet taken vaccination and ensure that all such police personnel takes vaccination in the next one week in coordination with officials of Health Department. The Police Department shall reach a 95% level of vaccination for all its police personnel including Home Guards in the next one week.

No adverse reaction to vaccines yet: Minister

1,74,749 persons have got shots so far Health Minister C. Vijayabaskar on Tuesday said as many as 1,74,749 persons had been administered COVID-19 vaccines in the State till Monday, and no case of adverse reaction had been reported so far. Mr. Vijayabaskar told journalists in Pudukottai that on average, around 8,000 to 10,000 persons were being vaccinated in the State every day. Many Collectors and District Superintendents of Police had voluntarily come forward to get vaccinated and this was appreciable, he said. Frontline staff from the Health Department were vaccinated first, and now they are being administered to frontline staff from the Police and Revenue departments, he said.
