KISHTWAR : To mark the World Red Cross Day 2021, the District Red Cross Society (DRCS) Kishtwar, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma, who is also its Chairman, today distributed the relief material comprising of the eatable items and other daily utility material among the beneficiaries of the Bal Ashram Kishtwar.
Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal; ACR Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi; DSWO, Traiq Parvez Qazi; Red Cross Secretary, Asgar Ali Sheikh; besides other officers and Volunteers were present on the occasion.
The packed material includes Haldi 10 Kg, Mirch Powder 1 Kg, Mustard Oil 48 ltr, Tea 20 Kg, Salt 25 Kg, Dal Chana 25 Kg, Sugar 50 Kg, Life-Boy Soap 30 nos and Rin Soap 30 nos. were handed over to the DSWO Kishtwar.

Now, state residents can get their oxygen cylinders refilled at their doorstep, with the facility being introduced from Sunday. For this, the patient or their family will have to apply online.
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Amit Agrawal presided over a meeting with the nodal officers of the district and secretaries of the District Red Cross Society in this regard on Friday, where he issued the necessary guidelines.
Addressing the nodal officers and Red Cross secretaries through videoconferencing, Agrawal said it was a crisis situation and we all have to render our services in the same manner as a soldier performs during a war situation. He said in this mid of crisis, many Covid patients were home isolated and there were many suffering from other diseases and required oxygen.

The Haryana government has announced that it will soon start a door-to-door oxygen cylinder refill provision for COVID-19 positive patients in the state. The purpose of this initiative is to stop black marketing and streamline oxygen supply across the state.

The facility has come up at Hajj House in just a week’s time.
While giving details, the CMO Srinagar apprised the Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who is also the Chairman DDMA that, the patients referred by a physician having mild symptoms of Covid-19 infection and require oxygen support of less than 10 litres per minute can be admitted for Isolation as well as treatment.
He further added that the Health Department is in the process of procuring more Bulk Oxygen Cylinders and Oxygen Concentrators to augment the bed capacity at Hajj House.
